At the time of the photoshoot Amy was 36 weeks pregnant. I have had the pleasure to be able to document her whole pregnancy journey, from the gender reveal, the maternity photoshoot, the newborn photoshoot and many years of joy to come with their beautiful baby. The newborn photoshoot will be in an upcoming blog so keep your eyes out and subscribe to the blog! 🙂
We had plans to head to a great outdoor location near Cheadle, Staffordshire but as we arrive in both cars, the heavens opened with a heavy downpour, so this location was no longer appropriate with Amy being so heavily pregnant. We decided to head over to Amy’s parents house and took over their living room and a bedroom for this photoshoot. It couldn’t of gone better with the situation we had, the natural light the living room window provided was great with lovely glow peeking through the window. The first photo below was taken in the bedroom upstairs in front of another great window.
These photos really encapsulated the beauty of pregnancy and the journey Amy went through for the whole pregnancy. This was the first time Amy had been in front of the camera in this way, having to pose and relax, she was anxious at first but that didn’t show and she did a great job and followed directions well.
This shoot was great fun, we all enjoyed it thoroughly! Unfortunately we couldn’t be with Amy when we showed her the photos but we face timed her when she opened the gallery for the first time, and to see her face light up the way it did made it all worth it. I love seeing the reactions and responses to my work. It is why I spend the hours doing what I do to provide photos documenting memories to be cherished forever, especially pregnancy and newborn. The 9 months of pregnancy is a long time and is an amazing time for most so to be able to document that for the Mum and family is a great pleasure for me!
